Each year, there’s always a new trend within the Wellness Communities. According to research, the wellness sector is set to boom in 2023 as people continue to prioritize health and wellness. From new fitness routines to meditation, these latest wellness trends can be tailored to fit you and your daily routine. Incorporating just a few of these wellness techniques into your routine can improve your mental, physical, and social well-being. Let’s take a look at what wellness trends are all the rave in 2023!
Micro Workouts
When they say micro, they mean it! One of the newest trends in wellness is incorporating two 15-minute workouts five days a week. Finding the time to exercise can be tough when you’ve got a lot on your plate. But with just two 15 minute low-to-moderate intensity exercises, you can reach a total of 150 minutes of weekly exercise. Anything from a brisk walk, a short bike ride, or a quick cleaning session qualifies as 15-minutes of exercise. These micro-workout sessions benefit your physical health, while also helping your mental well-being as well.
Resetting your Circadian Rhythm
Finding it hard to wake up lately? If you’re the type to hit snooze 10 times before waking up, consider resetting your circadian rhythm. Circadian rhythms are internally driven cycles that rise and fall during the 24-hour day and help you fall asleep and wake you up. To regulate your rhythm, consider changing a few factors before bed. Up all night doing some endless scrolling? Consider avoiding this habit and any artificial light exposure before bedtime. Try to limit your caffeine and alcohol intake as well, and set up a consistent sleep schedule that works for you. Getting enough sleep plays an essential beneficiary role in your overall well-being.
Meditation
Sometimes, you just need to close your eyes and take a moment, but you may feel like you can’t find one. Thankfully, meditation has no time limit. Meditation has a positive effect on your mental health, but can also assist with physical ailments and pain. A meditation practice can be done at any time anywhere. Short or long meditations are a great tool to encourage mindfulness and routine. Meditation reduces stress and helps you find inner peace. Never meditated before? Start small! Take a minute to stop whatever you are doing, breathe, and center yourself. You’ll be glad you did!
