Family Wine Highlight: DiBella Winery

The DiBella Family

{By: Carolyn Price} Located in Woolwich Township, New Jersey, the DiBella family first planted their vineyard just 21 years ago in 2002 and later bottled from them in 2008. This family-owned business is largely to do with Will and Julie. As fourth-generation farmers planting their own grapes, on-site sales opened up in 2017, and are currently working on opening on-site events this year. With a variety of wines to choose from through their curbside pickup option, DiBella Winery will be welcoming all once again this coming April.

The Wine

With 100% estate-grown grapes, the DiBella family has a variety of different wines made just for you. Whether you like a dry or sweet wine, DiBella has everything in between and will make it smoothly delicious. The current wine list at DiBella Winery includes DiBella Blush, DiBella White, Dragon, Merlot, and Strawberry. The Blush is a semi-sweet blend of Blaufrankisch and Traminette giving a semi-sweet bold taste. DiBella White is a white blend of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Cayuga also giving a semi-sweet aroma. The Dragon wine is a sweet Port-Style made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes. The DiBella Merlot is a dry red with hints of wild and black cherry and is suggested to be best paired with red meat or pasta dishes. And not forgetting about the fruity-sweet loving wine lovers, there is the DiBella Strawberry; this is a sweet wine with real strawberries picked directly from Dalton Farms. Yum.

Come and visit the DiBella’s on February 11th from 12-5 pm for the double release of their Reserve and Blueberry wines!
