Learn more about Gabrielle Dow

{Samantha Covone} Women are taking over the sports industry in a big way and for 28 years, Gabrielle Dow has been proving that she can hang with the men. Dow is currently in her ninth year with the Green Bay Packers as the Vice President of Marketing and Fan Engagement.

Coming from a football family, Dow was practically born for this. Before working with the Packers, she was a marketing manager for the Los Angeles Lakers, the senior director of marketing for the Florida Panthers, and then was part of the Baltimore Ravens as their vice president of marketing.

According to Dow, she never thought about working in sports originally, but that soon changed after she applied and was accepted into the Jim Warsaw Sports Marketing Program. While at that program, she ended up working with the Portland Trail Blazers where the ended up getting a public relations internship. As soon as that internship began, Dow’s whole perspective changed, as she soon realized just how much she loved being in the sports business.

In 2014, Dow was named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women and received the Executive Management Award. Along with her job at the Packers, Dow is an adjunct professor at St. Norbert College, where she teaches sports marketing and innovation to graduate students. She also sits on the board of directors for the Special Olympics of Wisconsin, Green Bay Country Club, and the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

Whether she is in the boardroom or on the field, Gabrielle Dow has surely made her name known within the industry. As a female, Latina, and working mom, Dow is inspiring a generation to go after their dreams.
